This site is located between the mouths of Yangon and Toe Rivers, in South Myanmar at Bay of Bengal coast can be easily reached from Yangon by taking the ferry to Dalla, then to the beach by road.
The coast has muddy and sundy shores and the vegetation types is mangoove forests. Only 135 bird species have been recorded but it is believed that others are yet to be discovered. The highlights to be seen for water and shore bird species and especially for Lesser and Greater Sandplover, Kentish Plover, Saderlin, Ruddy Turnstone, Broad-billed and Terek Sandpiper, Whimbrel, Small Pratincole, Black-headed Ibis and others. In addition one can also study aquatic bilology mangroove forests, traditional fishing and the way of life rural people. The best time to go is from November to March.
