This sanctuary is located in Central Myanmar Dry Zone. Vegetation is characterized by scrub land and dry deciduous forest. Over 70 bird species have been recorded in it. The highlights to be seen include three Myanma endemic species: White-throated Babbler, rare Hooded Treepie and Burmese Bushlark. Other interesting birds that could be seen in this sanctuary are Rufous Woodpecker, Pied Cuckoo, Rufous Treepie, Spotted Owlet, Streak-eared Bulbul, Vinous-breasted Starling and Plain-backed Sparrow. In addition butterfly watching and tortoise studying, especially vary rare and (Myanmar endemic) Myanmar Star Tortoise and Yellow Tortoise can be made. Recommend to visit all the year round.
