This site is located on the east bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River between central dry zone and south part of Myanmar. Only 164 bird species have been recorded, but it is believed that others are yet to be discovered. Highlight would be Black-headed Ibis, Bar-headed Goose, Common Shelduck, Harriers and Puff-throated Babbler.
In addition one can study the ancient "Pyu" capital of "Thayekhittaya" (Sri Ksetra), one of Myanmar's most ancient capital dated back to the 5th to 9th century. Recommend to visit all the year round.
