| Metta Waddy Old-Age House (Ngapali, Thandwe) |
In summer of 2005, Metta-Waddy old-age house was successfully opened in Thandwe Township. The donors are invited for maintaining the building, completing Old-ages' food, clothes and fully furnitures. |
Aims and Objectives
1) To nurture the old ages who cannot survive for living and not provided by families and relatives.
2) To help them who are facing life difficulties in their third-age.
3) To end up their
lives smoothly, for good next lives, to understand the fate and well-being of fate.
4) Aiming to nurture to the old-ages in THANDWE like others in old-ages' house throughout Myanmar. |

Mrauk-U |
15 Centuries ancient capital, massive "Shitthaung" pagoda with countless Buddha  Images. "Htauk-kant Thein" noted for stone sculpture "Andaw Thein" has unique stone carving & floral design. You can visit the village of big earring ornamented THET tribe & the face tatoo, "Lay Thu" tribe. "Dhanyawady" & "Wesali" ancient capitals are reached by coach.
Temples of Mrauk U Unlike Bagan (pagan), where temple ruins ate strewn over a vast plain, the ruins of Mrauk U sit on or against bulffs in hilly terrain, interlaced with streams and leafy trees. The major sites 1km or 2km northeast of town, there are lots of stupas next to the town itself, especially on hillocks along the stream at the southern en  d of town- a very nice area for sunrise.
Altogether, there are around 70 named temples, stupa or city-wall sites around Mrauk U, plus dozens of other unnamed sites.

| Shitthaung Pagoda |
 Shittaung (in Burmese, Sittaung) was constructed in 1533 by King Minbin, the most powerful of the Rakhine kings. Its name means ‘ Shrine of the 80,000 Images' a reference to the number of holy images found inside.

| Famous Maha muni Buddha image, 40 km north of Maruk U and about 10 km east of the farm town of Kyauk Taw, sits at the northeast corner of the old Dhanyawaddy city site. This was the orginal site for Mandalay's famous Mahamuni Buddha, a huge and very old bronze Buddha image.
King Bodawpaya conquered Rakhine in 1784 and his son took the bigger Mahamuni Buddha image to Mandalay and left the smaller one behind.
Now you can see this Buddha Image with Konbaung-style shrine at the present premises.
