Kyaikhteeyoe Wildlife Sanctuary

Kyeikhteeyoe is located at Kyaikhto Township in Mon state in the northern part Tenasserim coast with elevation 1,100 m (3,609 ft) above sea level. It is about 140 miles away from Yangon. Kyeikhteeyoe is a popular pilgrimage and tourist attraction. It was proposed as wildlife sanctuary in 1998 and gazette in 2001 in order to conserve the fauna and flora of the surrounding of Kyeikhtiyoe Pagoda which is a National monument. The wildlife sanctuary was established to protect globally threatened species. And, it is the only opportunity to see White-headed Bulbul ( Hypsipetes thompsoni ).

Hpa-an in Karen State

Hpa-an is the capital of Kayin state which is located at the eastern bank of Thanlwin river, about 270 km east of Yangon. Zwekabin Mountain is an attractive place for visitors. Bird watching in Rakhine Yoma ( Arkan Mountain Range )
